This page sets out the general privacy disclosures and website-use terms for the FastOmics public site. It is written to fit the current site setup and should be expanded if the product later adds cookies, analytics, accounts, payments, or additional data flows.

Complete the legal notice

Before final publication, review the trade-register and tax/VAT fields against the exact company details from the Romanian trade register and tax records.

Keep this page in sync with the product

If you later add new analytics tools, new cookie categories, account registration, payment checkout, or embedded third-party tools, update this page before those changes go live.

Disclose third-party inquiry processing

The current waitlist and inquiry form submits data to a third-party form processor. Keep the privacy notice aligned with that provider relationship, its transfer safeguards, and any future change to where inquiries are handled.

Use project-specific agreements where needed

If FastOmics handles client datasets, regulated workflows, or special-category data for a project, that processing should also be governed by a separate contract and data protection agreement.

Scope of this notice

This Privacy Notice applies to the FastOmics marketing website, service inquiries sent by email or phone, and public or client-facing portal access made available through this site.

Where FastOmics provides project work under a signed statement of work, data processing agreement, or other client contract, those project-specific terms may add to or override the website-level notice for that service.

Personal data we may collect

Depending on how you interact with the site, we may process contact details, institution or company details, the contents of your inquiry, waitlist-consent information, project or study information you choose to send us, technical usage data such as IP address, browser type, device data, requested pages, timestamps, and service logs used for security and troubleshooting.

If you accept analytics cookies, the site may also process consent-status information and analytics identifiers associated with your browser or device, including cookie identifiers used to measure visits, session patterns, and page interactions.

The marketing site is not designed to intentionally collect special-category personal data. If you send sensitive or research-related data to FastOmics as part of a project discussion, that information should be handled under a separate project workflow and contract.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses a strictly necessary cookie to remember your cookie preference choice. This cookie is needed so the banner does not reappear on every page load and so your analytics choice can be respected.

If you opt in, the site may also use analytics cookies, including Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and related measurement cookies, to understand aggregate website usage and improve the site. Those analytics cookies should not be set until you have given consent through the banner.

  • Necessary cookie legal basis: legitimate interests in storing and respecting your cookie choice, together with compliance with consent obligations.
  • Analytics cookie legal basis: consent.

Inquiry and waitlist communications

General inquiries sent by email, phone, or contact form are processed so FastOmics can answer your request, assess whether a contract is appropriate, and keep a record of the communication.

The website waitlist should be used for launch and early-access updates only where the person has given a clear opt-in consent. That consent should be recorded, and every marketing-style update should allow withdrawal of consent just as easily as it was given.

  • Inquiry handling legal basis: legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Waitlist / launch-update legal basis: consent.

Why we use personal data

  • To operate, secure, and improve the website and portal entry points.
  • To remember your cookie preferences and apply them on later visits.
  • To reply to inquiries, schedule calls, and prepare quotations or proposals.
  • To send waitlist or launch updates where you have opted in to receive them.
  • To measure aggregate website usage where you have opted in to analytics cookies.
  • To deliver contracted services, onboard clients, and manage project access.
  • To keep required business, tax, accounting, and compliance records.
  • To investigate misuse, protect systems, and enforce contractual or legal rights.

Legal bases we rely on

FastOmics does not use this website to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about individuals.

Where processing is based on consent, you should be able to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

  • Legitimate interests: running the website, protecting infrastructure, preventing abuse, and responding to general business inquiries.
  • Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract: preparing proposals, onboarding clients, and delivering agreed services.
  • Legal obligation: retaining records required by tax, accounting, sanctions, fraud-prevention, or other mandatory laws.
  • Consent, where required: waitlist or launch-update emails, any future optional email marketing, and any non-essential analytics or cookies should be used only where a valid consent basis or other lawful basis is available.

Sharing and international transfers

We may share personal data only where necessary with hosting providers, infrastructure and security vendors, communications tools, inquiry-form providers, professional advisers, and competent authorities, or where disclosure is required to protect rights, investigate abuse, or comply with law.

The current website waitlist form is submitted through Formspree as a processor. Where analytics is enabled, Google Analytics also acts as a service provider for website measurement. If those or any other vendors process personal data outside the EEA, FastOmics should use a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another safeguard required by applicable law.

Retention

FastOmics should keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and then delete it, anonymize it, or securely archive it where the law requires retention.

In practice, this usually means short-lived technical logs for security and diagnostics, cookie-consent records for up to the banner renewal period unless refreshed earlier, analytics cookies only for their configured lifetime or until you withdraw consent, inquiry records for the time needed to respond and follow up, waitlist-consent records and update preferences until consent is withdrawn or the waitlist cycle ends, and longer retention for contract, invoice, and compliance records where legislation requires it.

Security

FastOmics should apply appropriate technical and organizational measures proportionate to risk, including access controls, least-privilege permissions, secure communications, backups, logging, vendor review, and internal confidentiality practices.

No internet service can promise absolute security, but FastOmics should work to reduce risk and respond to incidents in line with applicable law and contractual commitments.

To exercise a privacy right, contact info@fastomics.com. FastOmics may ask for enough information to verify identity before acting on a request. Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP): B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania, dataprotection.ro.

  • Ask for correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion where the law allows it.
  • Request restriction of processing in certain cases.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Request portability where the legal conditions are met.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.

Cookies, external links, and updates

The current website build uses a cookie banner and a necessary preference cookie to record your choice. If you accept analytics, the site may also use analytics cookies for aggregated website measurement. Advertising or marketing cookies should not be activated without an appropriate consent mechanism and corresponding notice updates.

This site may link to external websites or social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this page. FastOmics may update this notice from time to time and should publish the latest revision date here.

Using the website

These Terms apply to your use of the public FastOmics website and related portal entry points. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully, not to interfere with its operation, and not to attempt unauthorized access to any system, account, dataset, or environment.

You may browse the site for legitimate business, research, and evaluation purposes. You must not use the site in a way that could damage, disable, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or compromise the service or other users.

Content and service information

Website content is provided for general information about FastOmics and its services. It is not medical, clinical, legal, financial, or regulatory advice, and it should not be treated as a substitute for a written project scope, scientific review, or professional advice tailored to a specific study.

Any examples, turnaround times, workflows, and deliverables shown on the site are illustrative unless a signed commercial document states otherwise.

Quotes, pricing, and contract formation

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a signed document, website pricing and service descriptions are invitations to discuss services, not binding offers. A contract for services is formed only when FastOmics confirms the scope, price, and commercial terms in writing.

The public website does not provide an automated checkout or order-confirmation flow for research services. If that changes, the website should also be updated to include all pre-contract information and mandatory online-contract disclosures required by applicable EU and Romanian consumer law.

If mandatory consumer-protection rules apply to a particular transaction, those non-waivable rights continue to apply regardless of these website terms.

Intellectual property

The FastOmics name, branding, website design, text, graphics, media, and other site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless stated otherwise. You may view the site and print reasonable excerpts for your own internal evaluation, but you may not reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit the content without permission.

Client deliverables, project outputs, and data rights are governed by the relevant project agreement, not by this website page alone.

Third-party links and availability

The website may link to external platforms, client portals, or third-party services. FastOmics is not responsible for third-party content, uptime, or policies outside its control.

FastOmics may update, suspend, or remove website content or functionality at any time, including for maintenance, security, or commercial reasons.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties that the site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

FastOmics does not exclude liability where exclusion is not permitted by law, including liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection or data-protection rules.

Complaints, governing law, and contact

FastOmics encourages users to send complaints or legal questions first to info@fastomics.com so issues can be reviewed and resolved directly where possible.

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these website terms are intended to be governed by Romanian law as the law of the FastOmics contracting entity, subject to any mandatory consumer rights and any more specific signed contract.
