Our Motivation
“Our motivation is rooted in the firsthand experience of one of FastOmics' co-founders, a biochemist whose transcriptomics dissertation exposed the inefficiencies of navigating fragmented bioinformatics pipelines through terminal-based HPC environments, an approach that was not only technically burdensome, but also highly time-consuming. FastOmics was created from the belief that scientists should be able to devote more of their time to scientific discovery and less to repetitive operational tasks, thereby accelerating the pace of knowledge generation. This mission is also shaped by the perspective of two co-founders who are identical twins: despite sharing the same DNA, their differences reflect the profound role of gene expression, reinforcing our commitment to building tools that not only support research, but also deepen our understanding of human biology and ourselves.”
